EPCOT’s Newest Ride Had to Be Shut Down, Ride Vehicles Taken Off the Tracks

When it comes to Walt Disney World, attractions are always built to be bigger and better. But what happens when a Disney coaster is too much?

Walt Disney World Resort is made up of four different Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Each Disney Park has something totally unique to offer Guests.

From classic rides like Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion to new offers such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT, Walt Disney World has it all.

Anyone who keeps up with the latest news announced at each D23 Expo will know that Walt Disney Imagineering is always busy with something new. Magic Kingdom’s TRON Lightcycle Run will open to the public in less than a month, and EPCOT’s upcoming attraction, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, will soon follow.

Until then, however, the theme park’s newest attraction is still drawing in crazy crowds.

From Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Disney World is no stranger to roller coasters,  but Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is unlike anything Guests have ever seen beforcomprisese.

Unfortunately, it may be too much for some Guests. Without spoiling what happens on the attraction, we can confidently say that this Disney coaster can trigger some symptoms for those who are prone to motion sickness.

Some Guests need to sit down after experiencing this Disney coaster, while others quickly become sick after riding! However, the attraction was recently shut down because somebody became sick…while riding this roller coaster.

In this photo, we can see that the track is free of any ride vehicles. The original poster confirms that someone had thrown up while riding, and the ride vehicles needed to be removed to properly clean up the mess.

If something like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is too much, it may be best to stick to the slow-moving Spaceship Earth attraction instead!
