For many fans, this attraction is a must-see when visiting the Disney theme parks. Unfortunately, as of today, May 1, the attraction’s location at Disneyland Park will be shuttered indefinitely.
Critter Country Closure Means No May Winnie the Pooh
Beyond its entertainment value, the attraction also serves as a tribute to the enduring popularity of Winnie the Pooh and his friends. With merchandise, meet-and-greet opportunities, and themed dining options available in Critter Country, guests can fully immerse themselves in the charm of the franchise.
Whether it’s posing for photos with Pooh Bear himself or enjoying a meal at the nearby Hungry Bear Restaurant, visitors have ample opportunities to make memories that will last a lifetime. As part of Critter Country’s lineup of attractions, it continues to captivate and enchant guests, inviting them to step into a world where friendship, fun, and honey-filled adventures await around every corner.
Unfortunately, this attraction, alongside the rest of Critter Country, will cease operations due to renovations and rethemeing happening in the area. These changes come as part of the land’s larger transformation in preparation for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Ride Opening Date Remains Unclear
While these renovations commence, many questions will continue to arise about the future of this beloved attraction. For now, the Disney calendar shows no clear reopening date, but that will hopefully be revealed soon. While guests will certainly miss this iconic area and the Winnie the Pooh attraction, the reimagining of this area in preparation for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is thrilling to think about.
This ride needs a refurbishment. Everytime we’ve been there it always seems to break down.
