When you think of iconic Disney rides, chances are Space Mountain comes to your mind. The iconic speed-coaster is one of Disney’s landmark rides, and Guests enjoy riding it worldwide. Unfortunately, the beloved and iconic roller coaster ride recently faced an unprecedented mishap, causing panic and concern among visitors. The incident occurred at Disneyland Park located in Anaheim, California, where Space Mountain unexpectedly derailed, leaving many riders shaken from the incident.

For many fans, the irrational fear of a track coming derailed is the biggest deterrent when it comes to riding roller coasters.
Unfortunately, this nightmare became a reality for fans, according to one recent TikTok video.

Guest Shows Ride Vehicle Derailed in Viral Video
This video has caused quite a stir in the theme park community. TikTok user @maadparkupdates shared a video showing their group getting evacuated off of the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland Resort. The video is captioned;
“OUR SPACE MOUNTAIN CART DERAILED! WE GOT EVACUATED!”
The video shows where the cart has been apparently derailed.

However, some Guests seem to think that this is not the full story. Numerous commenters have pointed out that this is not a derailed vehicle but apparently a “ride switchback.”
The full story of what happened here is not known, but regardless, this video ignited the worst nightmares of many fans. Definitely do not show this to your friends who are afraid of Space Mountain!
