If you are a Disney+ subscriber, you might be confused as to why you aren’t receiving access to some of the big name movies such as Black Widow. Some of these highly popular movies have been released on Disney+ but only with Premier Access, so what exactly is it?
Disney+ Premier Access is not included in your Disney+ subscription. This is an additional one time fee that allows you access to a specific film. Pricing is between $35 to $20 from what we have seen but it only gives you access to that specific film not ALL films released with Premier Access.
So far, we have seen Mulan, Raya and the Last Dragon, Cruella, Black Widow and Jungle Cruise scheduled for Premier Access on Disney+. If you aren’t wanting to pay for the access, typically we see these film join the regular subscription line-up around 90 days after release.
Once you pay for Premier Access to a film, you will continue to have access to the film as long as you are an active Disney+ subscriber.
Premier Access seems to be popular with some that aren’t wanting to head to the theatre yet or those that have larger groups and it is cheaper to pay for the Premier Access than visit a movie theater.
We will see how this continues in the future.
