Disney’s Update on the Holiday Season at Walt Disney World

Yesterday, we shared an update from Walt Disney World regarding changes to their fall activities which spiked much discussion. Now guests are starting to look at the Christmas season, in particular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

For the fall, Disney announced they are cancelling Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Disney H2O Glow Nights, and will offer a modified EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival called “A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival” which will not include the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

What many missed in the update (likely because of the fall shockers!) is the update Disney also shared about the holiday season:

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

“Looking ahead to the holiday season, this may spark questions about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which includes the Candlelight Processional. We are monitoring our new environment closely, and will make a decision on these events as we continue to learn more from government and health officials. As always, our goal is to explore every option and look at ways in which we can still host events and festivals full of Disney magic, while still operating responsibly with the health and safety of our guests and cast members in mind.” (Source: DisneyParksBlog)
