Disney’s New Magic Kingdom Exclusive Comes With One Major Catch

Disney World is preparing to add another collectible to Magic Kingdom, and Beauty and the Beast (1991) fans may want to keep an eye on this one.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is getting a brand-new souvenir goblet designed around Belle and the Beast. It isn’t simply another character cup, either. Disney has packed several recognizable details from the movie into the design and added a light-up feature to make it stand out even more.

The only problem? Guests don’t know exactly when they’ll be able to buy it.

Something New Is Coming to the Beast’s Castle

The new Be Our Guest Goblet will be available exclusively at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Fantasyland.

Disney designed the cup around the famous ballroom scene from Beauty and the Beast (1991). Belle and the Beast appear dancing together in a stained-glass-style design, tying the souvenir directly to one of the restaurant’s most recognizable dining rooms.

Disney didn’t stop with the cup itself.

The base features the Beast’s enchanted rose beneath a glass dome. The entire souvenir also lights up, which should make it especially noticeable inside the restaurant.

It’s a design that makes sense for this particular location. Guests dining in the Ballroom are surrounded by details inspired by the same scene represented on the goblet.

Instead of purchasing a generic Disney souvenir after dinner, guests will have something specifically connected to the restaurant they just experienced.

There’s a Drink Included, Too

Guests aren’t simply buying an empty collectible cup.

The new goblet comes with a specialty non-alcoholic beverage that Disney says will be exclusive to Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Exactly what that drink will taste like remains a mystery. Disney hasn’t announced the ingredients or provided additional details about the beverage yet.

That gives Disney another piece of the experience to reveal before the goblet officially arrives.

For collectors, the drink may be secondary to the cup itself. The combination of Belle and the Beast, the enchanted rose, and the light-up feature gives the souvenir plenty of details that could make it appealing even after guests leave Magic Kingdom.

Two Big Questions Remain

While Disney has shown off the goblet, several important details are still missing.

There is currently no announced price, and Disney hasn’t revealed an exact release date.

That makes it difficult for guests with upcoming Be Our Guest reservations to know whether they’ll have an opportunity to purchase one.

There’s also another detail worth remembering: the goblet will only be sold while supplies last.

Disney hasn’t said how many will be available or how long it expects the souvenir to remain on the menu. Depending on demand, that could make timing important for anyone determined to bring one home.

A Souvenir Made for Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest is already one of the most elaborate restaurants inside Magic Kingdom.

Located inside the Beast’s Castle, the restaurant allows guests to dine in themed rooms inspired by Beauty and the Beast(1991), including the grand Ballroom and the West Wing.

That’s part of what makes this new souvenir interesting.

The goblet isn’t simply using Belle and the Beast because they’re popular Disney characters. Its design connects directly with the environment surrounding guests during their meal.

Someone sitting inside the Ballroom can have a glowing goblet featuring Belle and the Beast dancing in a ballroom scene sitting right on the table.

Then, unlike the meal itself, they can take it home.

Disney hasn’t announced when the Be Our Guest Goblet will make its official debut or how much guests should expect to pay. Until those details arrive, anyone hoping to add it to their collection will have to keep watching.

Once it does arrive, though, Beauty and the Beast (1991) fans may have another reason to head deep into Fantasyland.
