This may significantly affect your next vacation to Disney.
When you are spending your hard-earned money on a Disney vacation, it can be devastating to find out that one of your favorite rides or attractions will be unavailable during your visit. Closures are one of the many gambles you take when planning a Disney Parks vacation. As much as you can prepare for your trip, closures of some kind are usually impossible to avoid.
For Guests hoping to visit one Disney Park this summer, some pretty major closures can be expected. Guests should be ready to lose some major attractions, restaurants, and, most significantly, the Monorail.Â
Monorail to Be Closed During Summer Crowds
Guests may be upset to hear that starting July 5, 2023, the Disneyland Monorail will be closed for refurbishment. Disney describes the Monorail as a “historic, high-speed zero-emission transportation system that rockets along a single rail through the Disneyland Resort.” The Monorail is a very important means of transportation in the Parks, and it will definitely be hard to live without during the crowded summer months. As of now, Disneyland has not announced when the transportation system will be back open.
The Monorail isn’t the only thing that Disneyland will be closing on July 5. Soarin’ Around the World in Disney California Adventure Park will also be closed for refurbishments starting this day. Alice in Wonderland and the Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland Park will also be closing as well. It is surprising that Alice in Wonderland is closing, considering it is also getting refurbishments done in the month of June.

Disneyland Down Two Rides, a Bar, and a Transportation System
It looks like July might be a tricky month for Disneyland Resort. This time of the year is already quite busy, and the closures of these rides and attractions are surely going to have an effect on the experiences of Guests. Hopefully, Disney will update us soon on when we can expect to see these rides reopening.
