Disney’s Kilimanjaro Safaris Newest Star Gets A Name

We previously shared the exciting news that a sweet baby boy zebra was born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 17. This little zebra seems to be the new star of the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, as guests hope to get lucky enough to spot him on the savanna. Disney has now announced the name of the spunky little guy!

As shared via Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment: “Fresh from his savanna debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, we are thrilled to reveal our newest zebra foal has been named Dash – which couldn’t be more fitting! The keepers chose the name Dash because of the foal’s spunky spirit and dash stripe on his left shoulder that is identical to the one on his Mom Heidi. Dash keeps the team on their toes as he is very active while dashing around meeting the other zebras in the herd.”

 

Dash is an adorable name, and looks like it fits him very well! Be sure to be on the lookout for Dash as you cruise the savanna on your next visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
