Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Capacity for ALL of May & June Except for Passholders

If you aren’t aware by now, since Walt Disney World’s phased reopening began in Summer 2020, Park Pass Reservations have been required for guests to enter one of Disney World’s four theme parks. With the park capacity being 35%, we have seen more and more days reaching capacity at the parks, especially this spring and now into summer. When reviewing the Park Pass calendar, we are surprised to see Disney’s Hollywood Studios is at capacity for ALL ticketed guests, with the exception of Annual Passholders, for the entire months of May and June!

Disney has been known for adjusting Park Pass reservations so fingers crossed this will change. But as of today (April 13), “Theme Park Tickets” guests are unable to select Disney’s Hollywood Studios on any day in May or June. While the screenshots below simply show one day in each month, when clicking through the calendar, Disney’s Hollywood Studios remains unavailable every day for the two months.

As we continue on with “Select Resort Hotels”, it looks like if you’re a Disney Resort guest, you will be unable to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May or June if you haven’t already snagged a park pass reservation. While the screenshots simply show one day for each month, when clicking through the calendar, Disney’s Hollywood Studios remains unavailable every day for the two months.

Lastly, if you’re an Annual Passholder, the park “Annual Passes” availability is looking great for you through both May and June. The only dates Disney’s Hollywood Studios is currently at capacity for Passholders in May and June are May 1, May 4, and May 8.

As mentioned above, Disney has been known to adjust the Park Pass calendar so keep trying if you haven’t already snagged your reservations! Disney has yet to announce when they will be increasing park capacity. Recently, Disney made a big stride in allowing guests to remove masks for outdoor photos. As the CDC guidelines and vaccination roll out continues to adjust, we’ll keep you posted as Disney releases any further changes. In the meantime, be sure to make your Park Pass Reservations as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on your chance to enjoy the parks!

About Mike and Jamie Sylvester

We are Disney nerds. Two kids at heart who love the magic and the memories of Walt Disney World! We follow all things Disney and have great experiences with Disney Vacation Club and runDisney events in particular. We enjoy the vacations, day trips, weekend getaways, and geek out over the planning of such events. From lodging to dining we have a spreadsheet for every occasion. Mike’s frivolous Disney goal is to acquire a magic band of every style while Jamie’s goal is to experience as many Disney desserts as possible. There isn’t a day that passes without some discussion of the master plan of our next trip to the happiest place on earth. Most people think we’re normal – until they travel to Disney with us. We have been married for 18 years and are blessed with a daughter and a son who have already learned the importance of planning ahead! As a family, we thoroughly enjoy the magic and the memories at Walt Disney World and are here to help others experience the magic as well.
