Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Interactive Key Attraction Disabled at Theme Park

Disneyland’s interactive keys, a key part of the park’s 70th anniversary celebrations, are facing a temporary issue with their Adventureland lock. The popular collectible, designed to unlock special experiences throughout the park, continues to captivate guests, but those hoping to enjoy the full interactive effects in Adventureland will have to wait a bit longer.

Adventureland’s Interactive Lock Out of Service

The interactive keys, introduced as part of the anniversary festivities, allow guests to activate various lights and effects at different lands throughout the park. Each key is meant to unlock a unique experience, and the Adventureland lock is no exception. However, Disneyland has confirmed that the Adventureland lock is temporarily out of service, meaning guests won’t experience the usual magic that comes with this specific feature.

For fans eager to see the effects in the area, Cast Members at the Adventureland Bazaar have found a temporary workaround. Guests can still bring their interactive keys to the register at the Bazaar, where Cast Members will manually trigger the light feature. While this still provides a bit of magic, it doesn’t come close to the full experience, which typically includes added sound effects and lights that enhance the atmosphere of Adventureland.

Why the Setback?

Disneyland hasn’t disclosed the specific cause of the malfunction, but they’ve assured guests that it’s a temporary issue that they are actively working to resolve. The interactive keys have been a major part of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary events, and the park is committed to restoring the full effects of the Adventureland lock as soon as possible.

Despite the setback, the interactive key remains a favorite among visitors, with many eager to unlock new surprises as the 70th anniversary celebrations continue. There’s still hope that Disney will add additional surprises and special effects to the keys throughout the year. For now, Disneyland guests will need to make the most of the workaround in place, but the park has made it clear that the magic is still very much alive.

While the Adventureland lock is temporarily out of service, the interactive keys remain a key element of the anniversary festivities. Fans will be keeping a close eye on updates and are eagerly awaiting the return of the full, immersive experience as the park continues to celebrate 70 years of Disney magic.
