Disney+’s newest series Ahsoka, has given Star Wars fans new hope for the future of the franchise. Dave Filoni’s newest project is nothing short of a masterpiece. Bringing to life fan-favorite characters from the Disney XD show Rebels, Ahsoka explores the galaxy post-Return of the Jedi, featuring characters such as Sabine Wren, Ahsoka Tano, and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Not to miss the chance to capitalize on the growing momentum of its newest Star Wars show, Disney is bringing yet another exclusive meet and greet to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort.

It was announced last month that visitors to Batuu at Disneyland would have the chance to meet Ahsoka Tano. However, it was recently announced today that another popular character from the new Disney+ show would also be making her way to Galaxy’s Edge to meet its guests. Starting today, for a limited time only, Disneyland guests can meet Hera Syndulla at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Syndulla is a popular addition to live-action Star Wars projects as she gained notoriety alongside Ezra Bridger and the other defenders of Lothal in the Star Wars: Rebels series. Although guests to Walt Disney World probably won’t be happy that they once again are being excluded from an exclusive Star Wars meet and greet, Disneyland guests are no doubt extremely excited to meet the Twi’lek.

Played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the Ahoska series, General Syndulla (Hera) has become a top advisor in the Republic’s efforts to rebuild after the fall of Emporer Palpatine’s empire. However, Hera finds herself at odds with Mon Mothma and other Senators as her focus on the possible return of Grand Admiral Thrawn puts her at odds with other Republic officials. Interestingly enough, Winstead is married to Ewan McGregor, who fans will recognize as Obi-Wan Kenobi from both the Star Wars prequel films and the Kenobi series on Disney+.

It remains to be seen if Walt Disney World’s version of Galaxy’s Edge will receive any special attention in the future in support of Disney+’s newest Star Wars content. Although Hera and Ahsoka currently remain at Batuu West, guests to Disney World can get excited about bumping into The Mandalorian, who will eventually tie in with the Ahsoka series, culminating in an epic film that brings all of Filoni’s projects together. Although this newest limited-time meet and greet is great for Disneyland, we hope that Disney World will get some love too, down the road somewhere.
