Disneyland is “The Happiest Place on Earth,” but it was anything but that for many Disneyland Guests who recently visited the theme park area.
Disneyland is a world-renowned theme park and resort that has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of people since its opening in 1955. Located in Anaheim, California, Disneyland is the brainchild of Walt Disney and is the first-ever Disney theme park. Disneyland now has several sister Parks worldwide.
From the moment Guests step foot into Disneyland, they are transported into a magical world of enchantment and wonder. The Resort is divided into two main areas: Disneyland Park, and Disney California Adventure Park. Both theme parks offer unique experiences and attractions, making Disneyland a destination that caters to Guests of all ages. Over the last few years, Disney Guests have reported more and more delays and issues with attractions. From Guests escaping attractions, boats sinking, Guests being stuck on attractions after a malfunction, and much more.
At Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland Guests can “travel the world” thanks to Soarin’ Around the World. This attractions allows Disney Guests to feel like they are flying and they have the opportunity to experience many different and iconic locations around the world.
On Soarin’ Around the World, your journey begins as the clouds part above the majestic Swiss Alps, revealing a familiar sight to Disneyland fans. Next, you will visit polar bears in icy Greenland, swoop past sailboats on Australia’s iconic Sydney Harbour and weave between elephants marching toward Mount Kilimanjaro. Glide above marvels like the Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramids of Egypt and the Taj Mahal in India. Cruise over Monument Valley, Fiji’s Lau Island and thundering Iguazu Falls in South America. Gaze down at the Eiffel Tower as it sparkles like a jewel in the night, surrounded by the lights of Paris.
In a social media post, one Disneyland Guests talks about how they were stuck top row of Soarin Around the World for over 50 minutes. This Guest almost missed dinner reservations from being trapped and once they were safely back on the ground they say they were given a Lightning Lane pass.
“UPDATE Home now, but we were up there for 50+ minutes. Almost missed our dinner res and all we got was a lousy fast pass. Our server at the Craftsman was very sympathetic and provided us with an array of desserts for our ordeal <3″
Disneyland Cast Members do not have control over what attractions may experience delays or errors. Disney Cast Members do their best at getting attractions up and running in a timely manner.
