Disney Will End Taylor Swift Partnership in January
Disney and Taylor Swift have maintained a steady working relationship for several years, largely centered on streaming releases and carefully timed promotional efforts. While rarely flashy, the partnership has grown more visible as Swift’s cultural footprint has expanded.
That collaboration has increasingly extended beyond Disney+. In recent years, the company has looked for ways to translate Swift’s dominance in music and touring into broader fan experiences, including limited-time offerings tied directly to her biggest projects.

This winter, that approach quietly reached Walt Disney World. What initially appeared as a small promotional addition inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios quickly became one of the park’s most talked-about pop culture experiences, driven by demand from Swift’s global fan base.
Only after weeks of packed lines did Disney confirm how long the experience would last.
Disney and Taylor Swift’s Expanding Media Footprint
Taylor Swift’s relationship with The Walt Disney Company began in earnest in 2020 with Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, a Disney+ exclusive that offered fans an intimate look at the Grammy-winning album’s creation alongside new intimate performances.

The partnership scaled up dramatically in 2024 with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version). The concert film became one of Disney+’s most high-profile music releases, following a theatrical run that mirrored Swift’s box office-level touring power.
Earlier this month, Disney+ expanded that slate with Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show and the documentary series Taylor Swift: The End of an Era.
The Eras Tour stands as the highest-grossing tour of all time. Spanning multiple continents and revisiting nearly every era of Swift’s career, the three-hour production drew more than 10 million attendees and generated over $2 billion in revenue.

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era follows Swift’s life alongside the tour itself. The series documents moments of celebration and crisis, from Swift’s evolving relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and the thought process behind the tour’s creative decisions, to a failed ISIS attack in Vienna and a fatal stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party in the U.K.
Disney has positioned these releases as tentpole content rather than supplemental programming. The company’s broader strategy has increasingly blurred the line between Disney+ premieres, theatrical events, and physical experiences at its theme parks.
Inside Walt Disney World’s Eras Tour Exhibit
That strategy materialized at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the debut of a surprise Eras Tour exhibit inside Walt Disney Presents. The space was transformed into a temporary showcase of Swift’s tour costumes.

The exhibit includes several outfits worn during The Eras Tour. Among them are the white Vivienne Westwood dress and gloves from “The Tortured Poets Department,” the gold “Reputation” bodysuit, controversially introduced later in the tour, and the “Midnights” finale bodysuit and jacket.
The Eras Tour exhibit officially opened on December 12 and quickly became one of the most crowded attractions at Hollywood Studios. Swifties lined up throughout the day, prompting Disney to extend operating hours to meet demand.
Disney has now confirmed the exhibit will close on January 23. That gives Walt Disney World guests just over a month to view the Eras Tour costumes in person before the display is removed.

The installation currently shares space with other rotating exhibits at Walt Disney Presents, including seasonal displays from The Santa Clause franchise and The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992). Even so, Swift’s presence has dominated guest attention.
The exhibit’s popularity has sparked renewed speculation about Swift’s future with Disney Parks. Some fans have questioned whether the singer could eventually receive a permanent attraction, often referencing Captain EO as a precedent.
