Transportation at Disney World is a vital aspect of the guest experience. Disney transportation is designed to provide convenience, efficiency, and a touch of magic throughout every step of the journey.

Walt Disney World Resort has numerous attractions spread across four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, and various resort hotels. Walt Disney World Resort offers a comprehensive transportation system to ensure that guests can easily navigate the expansive property and make the most of their visit.

One of the most iconic modes of transportation at Disney World is the Monorail system. This futuristic yet nostalgic form of transport glides above the resort, providing scenic views and swift connections between Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and select resort hotels like Disney’s Polynesian Village and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Monorail is not only a practical means of getting around but also an attraction in itself, beloved by guests of all ages for its unique charm and efficiency.

Another popular transportation option is the Disney Skyliner. The Skyliner allows guests to ride in a gondola system. The Skyliner offers guests a bird’s-eye view of the resort as they travel between EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and select resort hotels such as Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

The most popular way of transportation at Disney World is the iconic buses. These colorful vehicles crisscross the resort, shuttling guests between theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, and other destinations.

With an extensive network of routes and frequent service, the buses offer a convenient and reliable way for guests to explore all that Disney World has to offer. Plus, they’re a great opportunity to rest your feet and enjoy some air conditioning between park hopping.

According to reports from Orlando Theme Park Zone, Walt Disney World Resort plans to add buses to its already large bus fleet with nearly 100 new vehicles by 2024, a significant increase. While further details are yet to be revealed, this development promises to streamline transportation for future guests.

This leaves guests wondering: Is this rumored bus addition due to large crowds heading to Disney World? During the Spring and Summer months, Disney World becomes a popular tourist location due to warm weather, children being out of school, and family vacations.

While Disney has not announced that it is adding new buses to its schedules, Disney guests staying on-site resorts may enjoy less waiting for buses to arrive at the parks faster.
