One of the big perks of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is the complimentary Disney World transportation. Disney provides buses, boats, a Disney monorail, and the Disney skyliner throughout the Walt Disney World Resort Property. This makes getting around on a vacation easy and magical. A mode of Disney transportation is coming back for guests. This will make getting around Walt Disney World more convenient for guests.
Transportation Coming
If you have visited Walt Disney World in the past few years, you might have noticed that some transportation needed to be included. Guests wishing to sail on Bay Lake between Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Wilderness Resort, and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground couldn’t do so.
Instead of having a quick boat ride between these Disney resorts, guests would need to head to Magic Kingdom and then take Disney transportation (monorail, walk, or boat) to the other Disney resort they wished to visit. This made visiting between these resorts complicated and time-consuming.
Although guests could also order a Minnie Van or a ride-share, those options are not complimentary.
Disney announced that guests will once again be able to set sail between these resorts starting on October 1, 2023.
Details on Exciting Transportation
The “blue route,” featuring a signature blue flag on the watercraft, will once again be sailing between these three Disney resorts starting on October 1, 2023. Disney has stated that the watercraft will run afternoon and evening voyages, making it easier for guests to enjoy meals at these three resorts.
We are grateful that this transportation is coming back. Moving between these three Bay Lake-focused resorts quickly is a huge perk to staying at them during a Walt Disney World vacation. The quick boat ride opens up even more entertainment and dining options.
What Not To Miss
If you happen to be staying at one of these three Disney resorts, make sure you take advantage of this offering. Head to a different Disney resort to eat, walk around, and enjoy the atmosphere. Each Disney resort is unique and special, making them a fantastic place to explore.
Visit Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a wide variety of dining options. From a casual, relaxed atmosphere at Steakhouse 71 to a signature dining experience at California Grill, Disney’s Contemporary Resort has some of the best dining at Walt Disney World.
The calm and laid-back feel of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a blessing during a busy Disney vacation. Here, you can enjoy a nice drink for Geyser Point Bar & Grill while watching the action on the water. This open-air bar is the perfect way to wrap up a lovely evening.
Finally, don’t miss all the entertainment and activities at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Not only can you enjoy great homestyle meals, but there is also a variety of entertainment unique to this Disney resort.
Head out to the stables to visit the horses, walk around to all the RVs and their decorations, or explore different paths.
These three Disney resorts have so much to offer guests. Now, with the ease of the Blue Line returning to the waters, visiting these resorts will be easier.
