Disney World Extends 2026 Calendar With 3 After-Hours Park Openings
Just when it looked like Disney Vacation Club’s 2026 special-event calendar was winding down, Disney has added three more nights.
New Moonlight Magic events have officially been announced for EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, extending the after-hours schedule through late December.
EPCOT will receive one additional event on October 15. Animal Kingdom will host the other two on November 30 and December 22.
The additions give eligible Disney Vacation Club members three more chances to experience Walt Disney World after regular park operations have ended.
Disney Adds Three Dates Through December
Moonlight Magic has become a notable perk for qualifying Disney Vacation Club members because these events aren’t available to the general public.
Instead, eligible members can register for complimentary after-hours access to a participating theme park.
Moonlight Magic includes shorter waits at select attractions, character appearances, entertainment and food. With regular daytime guests departing, members can experience a different side of the parks.
This latest announcement also pushes the schedule remarkably close to Christmas.
Animal Kingdom’s December 22 event will take place only three days before Christmas Day. The other Animal Kingdom event is scheduled for November 30, placing both during Disney World’s holiday season.
Before that, EPCOT will receive its additional night on October 15 during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Previous Attendees Aren’t Left Out
One detail could make demand for these three dates even greater.
Disney says eligible DVC members who already attended Moonlight Magic during 2026 may still register for one of the newly added dates.
Early registration begins September 24 for eligible members with qualifying Resort reservations. General registration opens October 1 for all eligible members, though availability will be limited.
Moonlight Magic remains separate from Disney World’s Extended Evening Theme Park Hours benefit. These aren’t standard operating-hour extensions available to everyone visiting the parks.
Still, the announcement means EPCOT and Animal Kingdom aren’t finished with special late-night events in 2026.
Disney has officially added three more after-hours park openings, and the final one will take the Moonlight Magic calendar almost all the way to Christmas.
