As the calendar turned to 2025, Disney surprised fans by rebranding the beloved Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to the new title “Walt Disney Worlds.” This change marks the beginning of an ambitious new advertising campaign dubbed “Infinite Worlds.” The intent behind this fresh approach is to emphasize the vastness of experiences available within the resort, highlighting its multiple themed parks, water parks, and extensive dining and shopping options.

The ad can be seen in full below, as shared by Scott Gustin:

The new Walt Disney Worlds* ad campaign is titled “Infinite Worlds” and showcases the resort’s 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, 25+ resort hotels, and more. And as part of the new campaign, Walt Disney World transforms into Walt Disney Worlds.

The “Infinite Worlds” campaign aims to convey the concept that each visit to the resort can be a completely unique adventure. By inviting guests to explore the myriad of themed lands, Disney hopes to create an environment where visitors can immerse themselves in different narratives, cultures, and experiences during every trip. This initiative aligns with the evolving landscape of theme parks, as Disney seeks to remain relevant and competitive amidst rising challenges from new competitors entering the market.

Disney’s new naming strategy can also be seen as a direct response to competitors like Universal Studios, which lined up its own grand opening for the Epic Universe theme park. The term “Worlds” resonates with the notion of expansive possibilities, potentially drawing parallels to Universal’s “Portals” marketing theme. This strategic positioning reveals Disney’s commitment to maintaining its magical allure while confidently ushering in a new era of entertainment.

With the title change to “Walt Disney Worlds,” the scope of attractions has never been clearer. Guests can immerse themselves in thrilling rides, explore unique environments, and enjoy character interactions across four theme parks, two water parks, and more than 25 resort hotels. Each park boasts its distinct theme, from the adventurous jungles of Animal Kingdom to the enchanting streets of Magic Kingdom.

Each themed park offers an array of experiences tailored for visitors of all ages. Magic Kingdom remains iconic with its classic attractions, while EPCOT combines culture and innovation through its world showcase and new attractions. The water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, provide refreshing alternatives during warm Florida days.
Therefore, “Walt Disney Worlds” truly encompasses a complete entertainment experience for all guests.

In addition to rides and experiences, the new campaign underscores the diverse dining and shopping options available throughout the resort. From upscale restaurants to quick-service eateries, there are dining experiences to suit every taste. Visitors can also explore numerous shopping venues featuring everything from themed merchandise to unique souvenirs, ensuring no visit is ever the same.

As part of its initiative to refresh and expand, several attractions will undergo permanent closures in 2025. The Animal Kingdom is set to phase out DinoLand U.S.A., causing excitement and anxiety as beloved areas face significant transformation. Additionally, theme park favorites within Magic Kingdom will also see changes, permanently closing attractions like Tom Sawyer Island and portions of the Rivers of America.

While closures may induce apprehension, they are coupled with plans to introduce new rides and expansive areas.
For example, Magic Kingdom will welcome a new Cars-themed expansion, expected to enhance guest experience and create even more engaging adventures. Although the specific dates for various projects at Disney’s Hollywood Studios remain under wraps, the anticipation for fresh attractions based on Pixar’s Monsters Inc. continues to build excitement.

The changes slated for 2025 will shape the overall guest experience in significant ways. While some visitors might mourn the loss of classic attractions, others are likely to embrace the potential of new adventures. The key for Disney will be balancing nostalgia with innovation, ensuring every guest feels content with the evolving landscape of their favorite destination.

Additionally, the implications of “Walt Disney Worlds” extend beyond just the Florida resort. Disneyland and other Disney parks across the globe will likely witness changes and adaptations as the company seeks to maintain its status as a leader in the entertainment industry. Collaboration and integration between parks can be anticipated, making it easier for guests to experience magic at multiple locations.

The introduction of modern communication channels to keep guests informed about new developments at the parks is also on the horizon. With a focus on enhancing connectivity, Disney aims to better engage guests, ensuring they remain updated on planning their trips and any major changes occurring within the parks.

With the new name and fresh campaign, Disney World is poised to embrace the future, weaving nostalgia into a fabric of new experiences in the vast “Walt Disney Worlds.” As changes unfold, the excitement surrounding the changes only intensifies, inviting guests to experience the magic that Disney has to offer time and time again.
