Walt Disney World Resort is home to four enchanting theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, along with numerous resort hotels, water parks, and entertainment districts, Disney World park offers a realm of endless possibilities and magical experiences.
One of Disney’s many strategies to enhance guest experiences is extending park hours during certain periods. These extended hours are not just a logistical adjustment; they are a carefully orchestrated effort to cater to guests’ diverse needs and preferences while maximizing the Disney experience’s enchantment.
Disney World tends to extend its park hours during busy periods, such as Spring Break, which typically spans from March 1 through the week after Easter, which fell on March 31. To accommodate the influx of guests, Disney has adjusted its park hours, particularly for the second and third weeks of April.
Magic Kingdom was initially scheduled to operate from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily from April 14 to April 20. However, the Disney World park will now open earlier and close later on certain days, with extended hours until 10 p.m. from April 14 to 18, and until 11 p.m. on April 19 and 20. This adjustment also affects Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Disney park guests.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, operating hours remain largely unchanged, with the park closing at 9:30 p.m. on April 19 and 20, half an hour later than usual. So guests can still experience Toy Story Land, Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, and much more.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is known for closing earlier than other Disney parks. Disney is also adjusting their hours. Animal Kingdom will open an hour earlier during the week of April 14, with opening times shifting from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. The Disney park will close at 7 p.m. on select dates, with Early Entry commencing at 7:30 a.m.
So far, EPCOT hours have not been adjusted. EPCOT hours for the week of April 14 for early entry will be 8:30 a.m. and stay open til 9 p.m.
Guests heading to Disney World parks can still purchase After-Hour Event tickets for select nights and parks.
