Recently, fans expressed frustration over the constant misinterpretation or search for “secret meaning” of Disneyland app glitches.

Going to either the Walt Disney World Resort or the Disneyland Resort is an incredible experience to write home about. Each Disney Resort is home to amazing theme parks, lands, and rides that have guests from all over the world flocking to them.

But, one lesser-acknowledged part of the Disney experience is using the Disneyland or Disney World app to plan our time at the parks. And when something on the app goes awry, it can wreak some havoc.

Matterhorn Bobsleds Disappears from Disneyland App

On February 28, 2024, a guest took to Reddit to report that the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction had been removed from the Disneyland app completely.

This, understandably, caused some amount of panic, especially for those who might be less familiar with Disneyland’s version of the My Disney Experience app, and immediately had many wondering if there was an agenda or overarching reason behind this disappearance.

However, many seasoned guests were bemused at the turn of events. One commented, “Is there a point where we’ll learn not to read a secret meaning in any glitch that happens with the app?”

Another guest was a little more gracious and explained the likely cause for the disappearance of the ride from the Disneyland app:

“It broke down early morning yesterday, Tuesday 2/27, and was closed all day. Currently at the park and they just were pushing the sleds to the storage track. So something broke and they know it’ll take a bit to fix, so instead of giving guests hope that it’ll open today and booking Lightning Lanes, they just turned it off from the app.”

Some guests also took the opportunity to respond humorously to the situation, commenting, “They are getting rid of the Matterhorn and replacing it with a Frozen Ever After theme. Not sure if the yeti is supposed to sing “Let it go”, or get replaced by an Olaf.”

The original post has since been deleted.
