Disney Announces Incredible Summer Ticket Offer

On May 31, Disneyland officials shocked a lot of people when they announced that they were stopping the sales of all Disneyland Resort Magic Key Passes, effective immediately. Since being launched last year, Disneyland Magic Key Holders have been having issues with their Magic Keys, mainly when it comes to making theme park reservations. Disneyland is considered a “local’s Park”, which means that a lot of the people who visit live in relatively close proximity, so it makes more sense for them to have an Annual Pass.

Before the 412-day pandemic closure, it was estimated that there were around 1 million Disneyland Annual Passholders. With the crowds steadily increasing since the Resort’s reopening, it is not that far-fetched to think that there is close to the same number of Magic Key Holders now. With more and more people wanting to spend time at The Happiest Place on Earth, Disney is offering a special-priced ticket for Southern California Residents this summer!

When it first reopened, Disneyland offered a limited-time discounted 3-day ticket that could be used any time. Since then, they have also offered a discounted 3-day weekday ticket. Now, they are combining those two and offering multiple 3-day discounted ticket options, so each person can get the ticket plan that works best for them.

Disney Parks Blog shared more information on the tickets Southern California residents will have the opportunity to purchase.

For a limited time, California residents may visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks for as low as $83 per person, per day with this special ticket offer. These 3-Day, 1-Park per day tickets start at $249 for admission on Mondays through Thursdays, or as low as $299 ($100 per day) for any day including weekends for eligible guests.

The 3-Day, 1-Park per day Park Hopper ticket can be purchased for an additional $60. The limited-time tickets are available for purchase starting May 31, 2022, and California residents may redeem their tickets on any three eligible days from June 13 – September 15, 2022, subject to park reservation availability.* Learn more about these special tickets at Disneyland.com. This summer is the perfect time to visit Disneyland Resort. The Main Street Electrical Parade has returned and is celebrating its 50th Anniversary at Disneyland Park. Disneyland Forever fireworks and Fantasmic! have also come back to Disneyland, and the nighttime show World of Color has made its triumphant return to Disney California Adventure Park. A brand-new show called Tale of the Lion King has also begun showing at the Fantasyland theater.

It is important to remember that theme park reservations are required to visit Disneyland or California Adventure. Park Hopping begins at 1 p.m. each day, but if the Parks are at capacity, hopping may be restricted or stopped.
