Disney Notes Annual Passholder Platinum Plus Renewals Are Unavailable
Yesterday, Disney announced their plans to reopen one of the two water parks on March 7, 2021. Disney has also offered select Passholders partial refunds and ticket modifications due to the water parks extended closure. Today, another update – Annual Passholder Platinum Plus renewals are unavailable.
As shared on the Walt Disney World website: “Note: Platinum Plus renewals are not available at this time, but existing Platinum Plus Passholders will have the ability to select from a variety of passes once it’s time for their pass renewal.”
With Platinum Plus, the Passholder would gain access to all four theme parks without any blackout dates. On top of that, the Passholder could also access the two water parks, Disney’s Oak Trail golf course, and ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex. If you’re a current Platinum Plus holder and are coming up on a renewal, Disney is allowing renewals for the regular Platinum level and down.

It makes sense that Disney isn’t offering a renewal for the Platinum Plus at this time. There is still simply too much unknown, and why renew if all the benefits are currently unavailable. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!
