It’s that time of year again—when Disney fans start looking at the calendar and asking the same question: When will Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets go on sale?
If you’ve been keeping track, Disney usually drops the party dates around the same time each spring. In 2022, the announcement came on April 28. The following year, it arrived on April 20. And last year? May 6. That tells us we’re just about due for this year’s update. So, if you’ve been refreshing your browser every hour or checking your Disney app a little too often, you’re not alone.
Why all the anticipation? Because this isn’t just any party—Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the most popular seasonal events at Walt Disney World. Held on select nights at Magic Kingdom from early August through Halloween, it’s a chance to experience the park in a totally different (and delightfully spooky) light.
We’re talking about fan-favorite experiences like trick-or-treating through the park, the Boo-to-You Parade, the Halloween fireworks, and character appearances you won’t see at any other time of year. It’s a party with just the right amount of spooky, and guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in costume and get in on the fun.
Last year, the first party was held on August 9, which was the earliest start ever. That gave guests a whopping 38 nights to pick from—and still, nearly every date sold out well before Halloween. That early start also helped those with school schedules or vacation windows in late summer, so it’s possible Disney may stick with an early-August kickoff again in 2025.
If you’re hoping to go, it’s a good idea to keep your eyes on Disney’s Halfway to Halloween campaign, which usually comes with surprises like party news, themed treats, and more. It also tends to be when Disney finally spills the beans about the new dates and pricing.
Once the announcement is made, ticket sales will likely begin shortly after. In the past, Disney has given early access to guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel before opening up sales to everyone else.
If pricing changes happen this year—and let’s be honest, they probably will—expect the lower-tier August tickets to see the biggest jump. Last year, those dates sold out the fastest, especially because they were the most affordable.
So, while Disney hasn’t made anything official yet, signs point to an announcement very soon. Get your calendar ready, because once the tickets go on sale, the race is on.
