Maybe you’re enjoying the spring weather or gearing up for summer, but fans of all things spooky are celebrating Halfway to Halloween with Disney! Halfway to Halloween is a day, about six months before Halloween, when Disney makes announcements, shares spooky updates, and other themed entertainment.

Today, announcements were made for Walt Disney World Resort in Florida! Celebratory activities will take place at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground on Friday, April 28. Guests can enjoy:
Make Your Own Potion (includes a fee)
Join us to make your own Halloween themed craft. Available only while supplies last.
Halfway to Halloween Photo Scavenger Hunt
Grab the family and journey around the campground while taking a series of selfies wearing your best Halloween outfits at some of our staple landmarks. Once completed, turn in your clue guide at the Bike Barn to enter for a prize! Winners will be announced after our Halloween Trivia Challenge!
It’s Really Not So Scary Golf Cart Extravaganza
Staging begins at the Hitch & Unhitch area. Please arrive no later than 1:30 PM. Guests who arrive after 1:30 PM will not be judged. Three finalists will be chosen to be judged for the winner circle at the Campfire Theater between 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. To sign up, visit the Bike Barn by 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28. Spectators will want to set up a spot along the sidewalk of Big Pine Trail.
Halloween Mickey & Specialty Tie-Dye (includes a fee)
A select Fort Wilderness Halloween specialty design will be available to tie-dye, in addition to our classic Mickey Tie-Dye. Reservations are required and may fill up. To make a reservation, please visit the Bike Barn no later than 4:30 PM the day before the activity.
Halfway To Halloween Trivia Challenge
Put your Disney knowledge to the test during this spooky themed trivia challenge.
Other activities include: Country Campfire, Chip N’ Dale‘s Campfire Sing-A-Long, and the Movie Under the Stars: Hocus Pocus.
Disney Parks Blog is celebrating with updates from Disney Parks, highlights about the Haunted Mansion ride, and announcements about limited-time specialty treats at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. They are also promoting Walt Disney Studios’ new Haunted Mansion film, which premiers on July 28 theatrically.
