The Walt Disney Company and its many forms of entertainment are a globally recognizable brand. Disney’s reach to the four corners of our planet is unmatched, making Mickey one of the most iconic characters to ever grace the screen. The entertainment company’s resume includes more than film and television, however. As you know, Disney is much more, maintaining beautifully crafted theme parks, unforgettable resorts, and even traveling shows like Disney On Ice.
Disney on the Move?
Due to Disney’s seemingly endless feud with politicians in Florida, there has been a ton of speculation regarding a possible move of Disney’s largest enterprise, Walt Disney World. As a group of former Disney Imagineers have been contracted to build a large theme park in Oklahoma, many have speculated about Disney’s potential move to the Midwest.

Of course, this type of move isn’t likely. However, that doesn’t mean that Disney doesn’t have somewhat of a footprint in your typical “flyover states,” like Oklahoma or Nebraska. In fact, although completely removed from Disneyland or Walt Disney World, the fans of Mickey in those particular states are starting to get excited about a Disney venture with new dates headed its way!
Disney On Ice
In 1981, Disney signed several top skaters to perform for crowds, retelling some of their most famous stories in a brand-new way. Thus, Disney On Ice was born.
The traveling show has morphed into a huge spectacular featuring multiple renditions that travel to different cities around the United States. Highlighting some of your favorite Disney characters, Disney On Ice is a great way for fans who can’t visit Disney World or Disneyland to get their fix and spend a little time with Mickey Mouse.
Full of magic, Disney princesses, Pixar characters, and more, the touring ice show produced by Feld Entertainment has become a hit with Disney fans everywhere! The Magical Ice Capades currently features five different shows: Frozen & Encanto, Mickey’s Search Party, Find Your Hero, Magic in the Star, and Into the Magic, so there’s plenty to consider if planning to visit Disney On Ice.
New Dates Announced
As Disney on Ice is a traveling show, people all over the United States get an opportunity to catch Mickey, Minnie Mouse, or their favorite Disney Princess in action, even those in hard-to-reach places like Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Current shows are scheduled all the way out through February of 2024, and fans of Disney On Ice can access date, time, and ticket information via their website.
However, a quick search on the Disney On Ice site shows a new date announced for residents near Omaha, Nebraska, from March 7-10 at the CHI Health Center. Locals interested in checking out this latest addition to the Disney On Ice schedule can look forward to hanging out with Mirabel, Queen Elsa, and other Disney Princess royalty as Disney On Ice presents Frozen & Encanto.

Elsa and Mirabel Character Experience
According to Disney on Ice, guests to the character experience will get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to dance and play alongside Queen Elsa and Mirabel. This ticket upgrade includes fun games, crafting, storytelling, and interactive time with the two hugely popular Disney characters.
This upgrade to general admission allows for amazing photo opportunities leading up to the main event, but beware as prices can get pretty hefty. However, if you’re willing to pay the extra, it’s definitely a magical experience that rivals anything you’d find at Walt Disney World. All ticket sales are handled through Ticketmaster and are available now, with discounts available for Disney On Ice Preferred Customers.
All guests over the age of 2 require a paid ticket for entry, and group sale prices are available as well.
Guests looking to purchase Disney On Ice tickets will find a seating chart arrangement similar to what you’d find when purchasing tickets to a sporting event. Ticket prices range dramatically based on which seat you pick for your experience. Anyone interested in the event should access Disney On Ice for further event or ticket information, facts regarding public transportation and parking, and any other magical upgrades they may be curious about.
