Earlier this week we shared the news that Orange County is under a new state of emergency due to the rise of COVID-19 infections. Shortly after the state of emergency, Walt Disney World announced they will require masks for ALL guests (even those vaccinated) while indoors. The updated mask policy began today, July 30. Now, we’re learning that Disney has sent a message to their Cast Members stating that they are now requiring Cast Members be vaccinated.

As shared via Scott Gustin Twitter: “BREAKING: Disney has informed employees and Cast Members the company is “now requiring that all salaried and non-union hourly employees in the U.S. working at any of our sites be fully vaccinated.”

Gustin goes on to share, “Employees not yet vaccinated will have 60 days to complete protocols. Any employees working from home will be required to provide proof of vaccination before returning to work (with certain exceptions).”

What are your thoughts? Should Disney be requiring Cast Members be vaccinated? We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about this breaking news.
