EPCOT is slowly but surely taking shape! While much of Future World remains under construction, we’re seeing a little behind the scenes from Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley, at what progress is being made on the new Creations Shop! As a reminder, Creations will be new flagship merchandise store at EPCOT. Check out the progress below!
Disney previously shared, “Creations Shop features a bold, sleek design that creates a perfect showcase for the rich variety of items you’ll find as part of your EPCOT experience. It will be an open, bright, welcoming environment with huge glass walls that allow sunlight to pour in and make you feel like you’re in touch with nature even while indoors. We are using color, materials and light in new ways with some unique EPCOT touches that connect back to this park’s storied past while looking to the future.”
Disney Imagineer, Zach Riddley, took to Instagram to provide us with an update this weekend: “Happy Saturday everyone!! Today I’m excited to share a few snapshots from behind the scenes of our progress at EPCOT. Our teams are hard at work on the construction for Creations Shop and the surrounding area development. These will serve as some of our first completed elements in the new World Celebration neighborhood (boldly announced in the blue of our new popcorn kiosk). I am proud of all the progress our Imagineers are making and we can’t wait to reveal all these final touches to you later this summer!”
Zach previously gave us more insight into the details that are going into the new Creations shop, as well as a first look at the floors. While Disney has yet to share an opening date, we’re thrilled this one is still on track to open “late summer”. We’ll be sure to share more details about Creations as they are revealed!
