Disneyland is a world-famous theme park and entertainment Resort that has captured the hearts of millions of Guests. Disneyland was the brainchild of Walt Disney, the legendary animator, and entrepreneur who revolutionized the entertainment industry with his creations such as Mickey Mouse.
Disneyland Resort is divided into two main theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Disneyland Park is the original and iconic Park, featuring nine themed lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Mickey’s Toontown. Each land is meticulously designed to transport Disneyland Resort Guests into different worlds, from the futuristic Tomorrowland to the enchanting Fantasyland, where classic Disney fairytales come to life.
Next door at Disney’s California Adventure Park, Guests can embark on exciting adventures inspired by the Golden State, including attractions such as Cars Land, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, and the thrilling Incredicoaster located at Pixar Pier.
Disneyland has a strong commitment to Guests’ safety and takes all necessary precautions to prevent such incidents from occurring. Regular maintenance and inspections are conducted on attractions and much more to ensure their proper functioning and minimize the likelihood of malfunctions.
From time to time, Guests may experience a delay or error while at Disneyland. At the same time, Disneyland Cast Members work hard to keep Guests safe, though some scary situations have happened. In a social media post, a Disneyland Guest was visiting Disneyland in the 1980s with their family when the unthinkable almost happened. This Guest shared they almost fell off of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Almost fell off Big Thunder when I was really young. I was skinny and the lap bar was on my dads lap and so far from mine. I just remember shutting my eyes and screaming and being at an angle you are not supposed to be on a ride. My dad said he held onto me for dear life and I almost fell out. This was in the 80’s hopefully it’s safer today.
While we are not sure if this Guest was in any danger, if Guests feel unsafe or uncomfortable, find your nearest Cast Member for assistance. It should be noted that Disney attractions are tested to ensure safety and even many years ago, the attractions had certain safety requirements to ensure that Guests weren’t in any danger while riding.
In the latest news, a video went viral after a young boy slipped under the lap bar during a Disney attraction. This child did not receive any injuries.
