Three new eateries have opened up in Disneyland Resort’s shopping and dining district, and they come from a Michelin-starred chef.

One of the best things about going to any Disney Park, no matter where in the world it is, is the chance to enjoy the quintessential Disney experience. Any Disney fan would agree that the Disney theme park experience is singular in what it offers guests.

Recognized globally for its top-tier entertainment, Disney’s array of attractions within its parks stands out as unparalleled in the realm of amusement parks.

From beloved classics such as Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to timeless favorites like the Haunted Mansion, Disney theme parks consistently draw crowds eager to partake in these iconic experiences.

The enchanting blend of nostalgia and innovation woven into each ride creates an irresistible allure, captivating visitors from all walks of life. Disney’s theme park attractions have a wonderful ability to transport guests to fantastical realms where imagination knows no bounds, making each visit a truly unforgettable escapade into a world of magic and wonder.

For a while, many also agreed that Disney had some of the most delicious food offerings at any theme park. In fact, recently, Victoria & Albert’s Restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort earned a Michelin star and became the only US theme park-run restaurant to earn the achievement.

Now, perhaps Disney is trying to push further to make this happen at its Southern California counterpart as well, with three new concepts having opened in the Downtown Disney district from Michelin-starred chef Carlos Gaytán.

“It is my sincere pleasure to officially announce the grand opening of Paseo, Centrico, and Tiendita at Downtown Disney District,” Chef Gaytán said.

Chef Carlos Gaytán, known for his innovative take on Mexican cuisine, has partnered with the prestigious Patina Restaurant Group to introduce three exciting new dining experiences in the vibrant setting of Downtown Disney. With his culinary expertise and dedication to creating unforgettable dishes, Chef Gaytán is set to elevate the Mexican dining scene in this iconic location.

The collaboration between Chef Gaytán and the renowned Patina Restaurant Group promises a fusion of traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist, offering guests a chance to savor the rich tapestry of Mexican culinary heritage in a fresh and innovative way.

This collaboration not only represents a culinary exploration but also a cultural celebration of Mexican cuisine at its finest, bringing a touch of authentic Mexican flair to the heart of Downtown Disney.

“We are thrilled to share Chef Gaytán’s culinary vision with guests and introduce his world-renowned Mexican cuisine as we continue to grow our presence at Downtown Disney District,” said John Kolaski, president of Patina Restaurant Group. “Each of these unique venues, Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita, offer a bespoke dining experience with their own look and feel, while maintaining their roots in authentic Mexican cuisine and culture.”

Chef Carlos Gaytán made a name for himself as the first Mexican chef to earn a Michelin star for his now-shuttered Chicago eatery, Mexique. He has previously expressed a commitment to learning more about his country and its culinary traditions and sharing that knowledge with the world through his dishes.
