Disney Dining Blog – A Sincere Thank You

As we head into another holiday season, many of us start to think of what we are thankful for. Don’t worry, I’m not going to share my long list with you. Instead, I would like to say thank you to you. I am grateful for each and every person who is reading this. We all have something in common, and that is our love of Walt Disney World. It’s a bond that not everyone understands.

Since I live in Orlando I am able to spend a lot of time at the Happiest Place on Earth. In the past year I have been fortunate enough to meet some of you. I’m one of those people who likes to strike up a conversation in line, and I love to find out what others like about Disney. Some of the information that I’ve written here on DisneyDining.com has been a direct result of conversations that I’ve had with people who I’ve met in line. I’ve even ended up with a couple of new Facebook friends out of those conversations.

I am happy when people think that what I have to say is worthwhile. I am thrilled when I am able to share a new idea or tell people about something that they might have passed by otherwise. I like to be able to share my experiences, and I always hope that I will say something that will help at least one person to have a better Walt Disney World vacation.

Not everything at Walt Disney World is perfect, but I still love it. Since last Thanksgiving I’ve learned to tolerate FastPass+ (I’m still not a fan), I’ve seen Mark Hamill and met James Arnold Taylor, I’ve attended my first Disney wedding, I’ve found a new favorite WDW restaurant, I’ve experienced new attractions and said goodbye to others, and I’ve met some incredible cast members. It’s been a great 12 months.

Thank you for coming along for the ride. We know that the next 12 months are going to bring more changes. If you’re anything like me, you are probably not happy about all of them, but you’re excited to see how everything turns out. I wish everyone who reads this a Happy Thanksgiving, from the bottom of my heart. I am grateful for each and every one of you. You are the reason that we do what we do here at DisneyDining.com.

About PaulaK

I grew up in Western Massachusetts. When I was nine my family went to Disneyland and I was hooked. I grew up, attended New England College in Henniker, NH and eventually moved to Virginia. I worked as a disc jockey, married and became a full time mom when our daughter was born. Fast forward several years. In 2010 we moved to Central Florida and my Disney obsession grew. I now work as a freelance writer and spend my spare time in the parks. Under the name Paula Brown I penned the novels Dream Wanderers and The Coffee Cruiser. I also am a co-author of Dining at Walt Disney World: The Definitive Guide. I'm obsessed with Star Wars, so this is a good time to live in Central Florida. I've been a vegetarian for well over a decade, a choice that my daughter eventually made as well. While my husband still hasn't joined us fully he has given up most meats except for seafood. I was relieved to find that vegetarian dining is not difficult at Walt Disney World.
