Disney Debuts New ‘Frozen’ Story Ahead of ‘Frozen 3’ in November 2027

Frozen Fan Fest is back, and the best thing about it is free.

Disney is releasing a new Disney Off the Page Adventures story this month on Disney Kids YouTube.

The Night Before the Royal Fitting uses storybook-style animation and follows Anna after her engagement, as she and Elsa prepare for a special occasion in Arendelle.

Why That Matters

Anna’s engagement is a plot point, not scenery.

A short that starts after it, with the sisters getting ready for what certainly sounds like a wedding, sits in the space between Frozen II and Frozen 3.

Disney has not called it canon or framed it as a bridge to the third film. But for fans who have been debating that wedding since 2019, this is the actual news here.

The Timeline Is the Other Story

Frozen 3 hits theaters in November 2027.

That is thirteen months out.

Most animated sequels get a marketing push six to nine months ahead of release. Disney is starting this one more than a year early, and leading with story content instead of a trailer.

That reads like rebuilding engagement over a year rather than spiking it over a quarter.

US Parks Fans, Read This

The parks side of Fan Fest is at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris, which both have World of Frozen lands.

Hong Kong Disneyland has exclusive mini music boxes. Both resorts have mini figurines. Disneyland Paris is folding it into its Snowflake Festival with exclusive merchandise.

Both parks also have destination-exclusive postcards you can mail from mailboxes inside World of Frozen itself, which is a genuinely nice touch.

Nothing has been announced for Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort.

Worth watching, though: the main US Frozen attraction is Frozen Ever After in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion, and Disney recently filed a construction permit for that building. The filing names no attraction, and Disney has explained nothing, so linking them would be speculation. But with a third film coming, Norway is where domestic Frozen activity would logically land.

The Merchandise

Tied to the short: the Disney Frozen Slumber Sister Set from Mattel, with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and 14 bedtime accessories.

Dolls and playsets include the Singing “Ice Powers” Elsa Doll at Target, which recreates Elsa building Olaf, and American Girl’s Frozen Snow Queen Elsa Outfit built around the fifth spirit reveal. American Girl also has Anna and Elsa Cuddle and Care Sets with Bitty Baby, ten pieces each.

Jakks has the Icy Magic Phone. LEGO has Olaf and Bruni’s Picnic Fun, set 43287, which doubles as a display piece. ZURU brings slime with the Slime Mart Disney Shopping Basket.

DisneyStore.com has the Anna and Elsa Arendelle Castle Micro Play Set and a Frozen Sleepwear Set with snowflake patterning.

The Holiday Tell

One item gives away the plan.

DisneyStore.com is selling a festive Olaf plush with numbered countdown pockets and a Sven-inspired marker.

That is an advent calendar in plush form, which means this merchandise wave is built to run through fourth quarter holiday shopping, not just October.

Also, Soccer Cleats

Adidas is releasing Frozen cleats inspired by Elsa, Anna, and Arendelle this month on Adidas.com and at select retailers.

Unexpected, and probably a hit. There are plenty of kids who want Elsa on the field, and nobody has been serving them.

Apparel and Books

Amazon’s Merch on Demand has customizable designs, including an Expressions of Olaf design pulled from Once Upon a Snowman and an Elsa Fifth Spirit Snowflake T-Shirt.

Moonlite has Disney Frozen: A Royal Sleepover. Little Golden Book has I am Elsa, with retro-style illustrations.

What to Actually Do

Watch the short on Disney Kids YouTube this month. It is free, and it is the only piece that adds to the story.

The rest is shopping.

And if you want a domestic parks tie-in, nothing exists yet. Watch EPCOT.
