Disney has a new executive vice president of marketing to oversee and execute some of the company’s largest and most well-attended fan events and film premieres, and while she’s new to the role, she’s not new to The Walt Disney Company at all.
On Monday, The Walt Disney Company announced the promotion of Lylle Breier to the role of Executive Vice President of Marketing Partnerships and Special Events.
Lylle Breier started her career at the Walt Disney Studios while she was attending UCLA. She served at Buena Vista Pictures as an undergraduate intern as part of her pursuit of a degree in Communications and Media Study.
Her most recent role with the Disney Company was in the capacity of Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships, Promotions, Synergy, and Special Events. During her tenure with the company, she has played an integral part in countless world premieres, and she’s been heavily involved in conventions for fans like the Star Wars Celebration and the D23 Expo.
In her new role with The Walt Disney Company, Breier will be responsible for overseeing global studio marketing and enterprise corporate functions divisions, as well as overseeing some of the aspects related to Disney’s growth strategies. As part of her duties, Breier will spearhead marketing partnerships related to the theatrical and streaming releases of Disney films, conducting brand campaigns, overseeing the production of creative content across various platforms, and more.
She will also play an important role in The Walt Disney Company’s event sponsorships, as well as product placement for Disney’s brands, including Marvel, PIXAR, and Disney Animation.

Additionally, Breier will be the lead in charge of a range of elements related to special events, such as film premieres, stage presentations, and fan conventions like the D23 Expo and Destination D23 events, among others.
Her new role as Executive Vice President of Marketing Partnerships and Special Events will continue her reporting to Disney’s Chief Brand Officer and President of Marketing, Asad Ayaz, who praised Breier for her work with the company thus far, as well as her ability to create memorable experiences for Disney’s fans.
“Whether securing multi-platform partnerships or pulling off large-scale events across the globe, Lylle has been at the center of some of the industry’s most elaborate, memorable, and successful programs,” Ayaz said in a statement. “Her ability to create and drive exceptional experiences and foster enduring connections is a testament to all that she’s achieved and what’s yet to come, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to congratulate her on this promotion.”
In response to her new role at The Walt Disney Company, Breier had this to say:
“At the heart of all the remarkable things we accomplish is my extraordinary team, who are without question the best in the industry. I’m incredibly grateful for the fans who inspire us to push new boundaries and [for] the leadership team–Bob Iger, Alan Bergman, and Asad Ayaz–who continually support and champion our efforts.”
