Disney announced the opening date for Animal Kingdom’s newly-revamped Finding Nemo-themed show this morning!
As promised by Disney in late April, the brand-new take on the previous Nemo show inside Dinoland U.S.A.’s Theater in the Wild is opening this summer! Animal Kingdom will welcome Guests to its debut performance on June 13 at the very same location!

In a video posted online Friday morning by Disney Parks, Cast Members can be seen rehearsing for the new show which draws its inspiration from PIXAR’s Finding Nemo and Finding Dory. A few things are the same and a few things are wonderfully different in the new stage show adaptation of the timeless tales of Nemo and Dory.

The new show features some amazing props, including a 32-foot-long sunken submarine and a
tank that stands nearly 15 feet tall! The show also features some new songs, but a couple of the songs have been kept from the original show that features cleverly-camouflaged Cast Members alongside massive PIXAR puppets.Last fall, news surfaced about the possible closing of the – The Musical live show at Disney’s . On social media, performers from the Guest-favorite show began exchanging farewells. Disney fans of all ages feared the worst–that there would be no more show from at the Theater in the Wild at ‘s Dinoland U.S.A.
On November 20, during the Destination D23 celebration held at the , it was announced that the was headed to Disney’s sometime in 2022, and Disney even revealed the name of the : The . . . and Beyond! :
No date was announced at that time, but things are going, um . . . swimmingly, and Nemo, Dory, and the gang can’t wait to welcome everyone back on June 13! See you there!
