As we mentioned before, Walt Disney World in Florida boasts two incredible water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon is themed around a storm-tossed tropical bay, featuring the iconic Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, one of the largest wave pools in North America. Blizzard Beach, on the other hand, is styled as a melting ski resort, with Mount Gushmore at its center. Each park offers a unique experience for guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort.
Typhoon Lagoon, known for its lush landscaping and thrilling water rides, is home to attractions like the thrilling Summit Plummet and the leisurely Castaway Creek lazy river. The park’s centerpiece, Mount Mayday, is where guests can brave the fast and fun water slides or relax in the shade of the Beachcomber Shack. Additionally, Typhoon Lagoon features the Ketchakiddee Creek area, perfect for younger visitors to enjoy water play in a safe environment.
Blizzard Beach, famous for its winter-themed attractions in the midst of a Florida summer, presents guests with the chance to experience the pulse-pounding thrills of Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher. For those seeking a more relaxing time, the tranquil Cross Country Creek offers a scenic raft ride around the park. Guests can also take on the challenge of the Toboggan Racers or enjoy the family-friendly fun at Tike’s Peak.
Both water parks at Walt Disney World provide a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Whether you prefer the excitement of Typhoon Lagoon’s wave pool and water slides or the unique charm of Blizzard Beach’s themed attractions, a day spent at these water parks is sure to create lasting memories for visitors of all ages. Not much of a deal unless you are a few hours drive to your hotel. Those of us who fly probably arrive late morning at MCO at the earliest after getting in your departure airport at 5 in the morning. Now add at least an hour to get your luggage and transportation to the hotel. Then add on an hour to get bus transportation to the waterpark of your choice. So now you have just a few hours at the waterpark before it closes. Throw in the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms there is no benefit at all.
I don’t want to be negative about this but if Disney really wanted to make it a perk for hotel guests they would make it any day. It won’t affect me. I still have 3 adult and 1 child ticket from years ago. Times 2. We really don’t enjoy the waterpark parks. Too many people who didn’t know how to act in the wave pools and other areas. Nothing like having your kids slammed into the concrete floor of the pool because people don’t consider who is in front them.
Not sure if I understand.
You can go after you check in? But if you can’t check in until 3PM that doesn’t leave any time to go to the park as they close very early.
Or do you just show at the gate fhat you have a hotel resevation starting that day?
