Dining Reservations Began Today for WDW Resort Guests (After 2 hr, 15 min Wait, We Snagged Ours!)

Credit: Disney

As select Walt Disney World Resorts prepare for their reopening on June 22, we previously shared resort dining reservations are beginning for Walt Disney World Resort Guests on June 18. Today, we were able to snag dining reservations after 2 hours and 15 minutes of being on holding.

For one of our upcoming resort stays, we knew we wanted to book dining reservations as soon as possible so we didn’t miss our chance with resort restaurants having limited capacity. Unfortunately, the only option currently for resort restaurant dining reservations is to book via phone, meaning we expected a lengthy wait time when calling at the first moment possible at 7:00am this morning.

We were thankful that during our 2 hour and 15 minute wait, we were able to listen to the fun hold music that Disney has including songs like Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, “it’s a small world”, Grim Grinning Ghosts, and more. Might as well look at the positive side, right?! And YES! We were able to obtain all dining reservations we requested.

As shared on Disney’s website: “Guests with Disney Resort hotel reservations for arrivals June 22 through July 10, 2020 can make dining reservations for select Walt Disney World Resort hotel and available Disney Springs dining locations beginning June 18, 2020. Call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 824-1391 to check availability and make reservations. Or, if you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, call Member Services at (800) 800-9800.”
