Calling all Star Wars fans
If you love all things Star Wars, chances are you are looking forward to celebrating ‘May the 4th’, also known as ‘Star Wars Day.’ This year, the Disney Parks have an incredible line-up of events for Guests heading to Galaxy’s Edge. If you won’t be able to make it to one of the Disney Parks, no worries! Disney has just announced that a special, live-streamed event will be taking place starting tonight at 12:00 p.m. EST.
Live-Streamed Concert Experience Beginning Tonight
If you’re a fan of Star Wars, then you’re probably familiar with DJ R3X, the droid DJ who can spin the coolest tunes on this side of the galaxy. DJ R3X is a droid DJ first introduced in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the immersive Star Wars land in Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. As soon as he started spinning his tunes, DJ R3X became an instant fan favorite, thanks to his unique personality, quirky humor, and love for classic Star Wars music.
Tomorrow is a big day for DJ R3X as it is May 4, also known as “Star Wars Day.” The reason May 4 is the day of this fan-made holiday is that “May the fourth” sounds similar to “May the force.” This punny holiday is now a time of the year for Guests to celebrate the incredible characters and stories of the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars fans travel from all over the world to celebrate Star Wars Day in the Parks. If you cannot make it in person this year, there is no need to ret. Disney has just announced that DJ R3X will be doing a live-streamed performance of his iconic DJ set for fans at home.
Staring at Midnight tonight, DJ R3X will be playing some “hits from around the galaxy” for the next 24 hours. The stream will take place on Youtube.
