Buzz Lightyear Becomes Park Mainstay

Buzz Lightyear made his debut in the 1995 animated film Toy Story, in which he was voiced by the talented actor Tim Allen. In the movie, Buzz believes he is a real space ranger, unaware that he is just a toy. Buzz, alongside his best buddy Woody, goes on an incredible adventure unlike any other. With his catchphrase, “To infinity and beyond!” Buzz quickly became a fan favorite.

Buzz Lightyear’s popularity extends beyond the silver screen. At Walt Disney World Resort, visitors can meet and greet Buzz in person. Guests can also entertain themselves at the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin attraction. This interactive ride takes guests on a mission to defeat the evil Emperor Zurg alongside Buzz himself. Over at Disneyland Resort, Buzz Lightyear fans can get their fix at Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
