Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom is home to six different neighborhoods: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and of course, Tomorrowland.
Each neighborhood harbors different shops, eateries, and attractions all themed to the respective neighborhood’s aesthetic.

When Magic Kingdom opened, Tomorrowland was the area of progress, innovation, and the future! However, futuristic aesthetics have drastically changed since the Disney Park’s opening day, resulting in a mixed bag. The area includes rides like Space Mountain, Astro Orbiters, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is a fan-favorite attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, where Guests become Star Command recruits and try their best to foil the Evil Emperor Zurg’s plans.

The ride is full of fun neon colors, little green men, and of course, Buzz Lightyear and Emperor Zurg. The attraction entails Guests boarding a ride vehicle that can spin from side to side, equipped with laser guns. Guest spend the ride shooting at targets, competing with their riding partner, and trying to defeat Evil Emperor Zurg!

According to the My Disney Experience app, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is temporarily closed! But that doesn’t mean it’s time to panic!
An attraction like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has a lot of moving parts, and it’s not uncommon for something to malfunction, causing the attraction to close temporarily. We at Disney Dining do not doubt that this attraction will reopen before you know it.
