Disney announces brand-new next-gen MagicBand+ technology, and we can’t wait to get ours!

Disney Parks has just announced this morning that its already amazing technology and innovation inside the parks will get an upgrade next year with the newest generation of Disney’s wearable technology.

Introducing MagicBand+.

Walt Disney once said, “We’ll always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and new systems,” and that’s never been more true than now, as we begin the celebratory season at Walt Disney World and mark the milestone with brand-new MagicBand technology!

As always, the MagicBand+ technology will continue to enhance the Disney World experience for Guests across all four theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. Use it for hands-free Guest room entry, for Disney’s PhotoPass photos, for retail and dining purchases and more!

The new technology will also have the capabilities to unlock even more Magic for Guests when the newest part of Disney innovation debuts in 2022!

And we love some of the newest designs for the 2022 MagicBand+ pieces!

According to Disney’s announcement, Guests will also be able to do these things with the new MagicBand+ technology:

• Play like a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away and find virtual bounties throughout Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
• Interact with the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection,” the golden sculptures spread throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks.
• Experience nighttime spectaculars in a new way as you see your band light up and complement the magic in the skies, including the new “Harmonious” at EPCOT and “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom Park.

It’s amazing what the new MagicBand+ technology can do!

Remember, the celebration kicks off tomorrow at Walt Disney World, but the party keeps going for 18 full months!
