Another C-level executive has exited The Walt Disney Company–the second one in just three months.
On Friday afternoon, The Wall Street Journal reported the departure of Disney’s Chief Information Officer, Diane Jurgens, who left her post in early September. Jurgens’s departure marks the second since June, when Christine McCarthy, Chief Financial Officer at The Walt Disney Company, announced she was stepping away for a one-year medical leave of absence.

Shortly thereafter, it was announced that McCarthy would take a one-year medical leave, to begin on July 1, 2023, and end on June 30, 2023, but that her final day with the Disney Company would also be June 30, 2023.
Jurgens came to Disney in late 2020 when Bob Chapek was CEO of the company. She was responsible for Disney’s enterprise technology organization on a global level. According to those closest to the situation, CFO Christine McCarthy was responsible for hiring Jurgens.
In a farewell email message to her colleagues in late August, Jurgens said she was stepping away from Disney “to pursue new adventures.”
“As you can imagine, it was a hard decision,” Jurgens wrote. “This company is a special place, and working with this team has been a highlight of my career.”
