The Disney Store Online Is Closing, Final Day To Shop Revealed
Shoppers in several countries now have a hard deadline to stock up on Disney Store merchandise, as the company confirms its online storefronts in those regions will disappear for good next month.
The Countdown Begins

Physical Disney Store locations have grown scarcer over the years, pushing fans increasingly toward online shopping for everything from Mickey ears to holiday ornaments. That’s what makes this week’s announcement particularly disruptive for shoppers in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia, who were notified via email that their online stores are permanently closing.
DisneyStore.com.au and DisneyStore.asia will both shut down at the end of the day on September 30, 2026. Disney says any orders placed before that date will still be fulfilled, but customers should brace for possible shipping delays as the closure date approaches and order volume spikes.

DisneyStore.com.au, which serves both Australia and New Zealand, posted the following notice for customers:
“Important Update
DisneyStore.com.au will continue to operate in Australia until 30 September 2026, after which your local online store will close. Orders placed through the 30th September will continue to be fufilled.”
Not every market is affected. Disney Store Japan, Disney Store United States, Disney Store United Kingdom, Disney Store China, Disney Store Korea, Disney Store Philippines, and Disney Store Middle East will all continue running normally well past the September 30 cutoff.
Answers to Common Shopper Questions

Disney has published FAQ pages on both closing sites to help shoppers navigate the transition. Among the key takeaways:
- Items currently sold out won’t be restocked before the September 30 shutdown.
- Return policies and product support will remain in effect even after the stores close, with dedicated customer support links still available.
- Disney Store Australia and New Zealand officially closes after 11:59 p.m. AEST on September 30, or 1:59 a.m. NZST on October 1.
- Disney Store Singapore and Malaysia will close after 11:59 p.m. on September 30.

Disney is pointing shoppers in the affected regions to “a wide range of authorized and trusted retailers in your country” as an alternative going forward.
Frustration Builds Among Fans
While Disney has stayed quiet about the closures on its official social media channels, fans have flooded the comments section of @disneystoreau’s latest Instagram post with their frustrations.

“Why are you closing the online store??” @i.luciainthesky asked. “Where are we supposed to buy ears and specially disney products? Definitely feels like Australia doesn’t deserve any Disney magic.”
“Today’s email made me so sad, I can’t believe the magic of Disney is leaving yet again!” said @onceuponabreezy. “Absolutely shattered.”
Disney has not offered a public explanation for the decision to shut down these particular online markets.
