Bon Appetit! Dining at Chefs de France

EPCOT’s World Showcase is filled with eleven charming pavilions where Guests can feel as though they have traveled the world enjoying different cultures, history, and cuisine. The France Pavilion in particular is home to several indulgent and delicious Disney dining options that bring traditional French cuisine to life for Guests.

Dining Room

Chefs de France is a charming table service restaurant located near the front of the France Pavilion that is open each day for lunch and dinner and immerses Guests in the laid-back atmosphere of a traditional brasserie in Paris. With beautiful views out into the pavilion, a light and airy interior, and a menu of French nouvelle cuisine, this is a must enjoy restaurant in EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Immediately upon entering into Chefs de France, Guests are immersed in the theming of a French brasserie with vaulted ceilings framed by intricate molding, richly colored mosaic flooring, traditional booth seating, mirrored walls, and beautiful light fixtures with hanging glass orbs. The soothing color palette is also complimented with pops of deep crimson and murals depicting impressionist-style artwork that was made famous in France.

Fountain View

While the main dining room is charming, the best seats at Chefs de France are found in a smaller dining area at the very front of the restaurant with large glass windows, green wooden molding, and hanging bulb lights to mimic the feeling of an outdoor patio. These large windows look out into the walkways of the France Pavilion as well as the World Showcase Promenade, and Guests can soak in stunning views of flowing fountains and bustling crowds that will absolutely make them feel as though they are in Paris.

Chefs de France is open each day for lunch and dinner, and both meal periods feature identical menus of French nouvelle cuisine that focuses on fresh ingredients prepared in traditional and simple styles to highlight their delicious natural flavors. Guests who are looking to enjoy both light and indulgent meals have several delicious options to choose from that will make them want to return to dine time and time again.

French Martini

Once seated, Guests can begin a meal at Chefs de France with an array of beverages including soft drinks, coffee selections, and imported waters and sodas including Perrier, Evian, and Limonade. In true French style, there is a large selection of imported wines to choose from, with the option to purchase by the glass or bottle. Guests can also indulge in imported French beer as well as cocktails including the French Martini, Saint-Germain Cocktail, Coupe de Champagne, and Cocktail de Chefs.

French Onion Soup

After ordering their drinks and settling into the beautiful atmosphere at Chefs de France, Guests can begin to peruse the menu, which starts with a selection of appetizers. Traditional French Onion Soup is decadently topped with Gruyère cheese, Escargot is prepared with parsley and garlic butter, and a selection of imported cheese and charcuterie brings the flavors of France to life on the plate.

Baked Goat Cheese Salad

Guests who are looking for a lighter start at Chefs de France have two salads to choose from, one of which incorporates an indulgent serving of cheese. A green salad with house vinaigrette, smoked bacon, tomatoes, and croutons is always delicious, but the star is the Baked Goat Cheese Salad which tops mixed greens and endive with a hearty portion of creamy baked goat cheese, walnuts, and grape tomatoes.

Ratatouille sur Quinoa

The entrées offered at Chefs de France continue the flavors and ingredients of traditional French cuisine with an array of light and decadent options. A wonderful vegetarian option prepared by Chef Remy that Guests might be familiar with from the Pixar film Ratatouille is the Ratatouille sur Quinoa, which features the delicately layered presentation of vegetables paired with a bed of quinoa and kale.

Beouf Bourguignon

Boeuf Bourguignon is one of the most traditional meals in French cuisine, and Chefs de France serves up its own presentation that is rich in flavor and sure to immediately transport Guests to Paris. The Boeuf Bourguignon features beef braised in Cabernet until it is a texture that just melts in your mouth and pairs it with baby onions, carrots, and pasta.

Beef Tenderloin

A different take on beef is also featured on the lunch and dinner menus of Chefs de France and prepares a grilled tenderloin paired with flavorful green peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes, and green beans for a light side. Chicken is also prepared in a delightful and flavorful way with tomatoes, celery, onions, a hard-boiled egg, Swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, and a chilled red wine vinegar dressing.

Salmon

Seafood lovers can enjoy a light and citrus-based salmon entrée that is a great way to energize for an afternoon and evening in EPCOT. The salmon is marinated in white wine and lemon, then broiled and served with a bed of rice and champagne sauce.

Creme Brulee

Dessert is a staple of French cuisine, with decadent pastry options and indulgent chocolate delights that are absolutely worth saving room for. Chefs de France serves up a trio of options with Crème Brulée flavored with vanilla, a Berry Fruit Salad paired with a mint syrup and Madeleine, and a Chocolate Tart with creamy white chocolate mousse and cocoa coulis insert.

Guests who know that they are going to enjoy a full three-course meal at Chefs de France and are looking to also indulge in an alcoholic beverage have a great option to take advantage of. The Menu Francais is a prix fixe option that allows Guests to choose one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert to pair with a glass of chardonnay, Cabernet, or a non-alcoholic beverage for one set price.
