A young girl received a unique Prince Charming Disney makeover while on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, and a video posted by her mother online quickly went viral on TikTok for its message of self-acceptance and expression.
While aboard the Disney Wish on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, mother Jessica Skube took her daughter Lilia to the Bibbidi Boppidi Boutique, which provides Guests under the age of 12 magical makeovers which transform them into Disney Princesses and Knights. Although Lilia had done the experience prior, choosing a princess look at the time, her mother thought it was a good idea to go one last time before her daughter was too old to participate.

Skube initially told People Magazine that Lilia felt excited for her final visit to the BBB, but this time was immediately drawn to the Prince Charming costume when they entered, curious if Disney allowed girls to request it too. Despite her surprise, Jessica supported her daughter’s decision, no matter what it was.
Even so, Lilia eventually opted for a Princess Jasmine makeover due to the fact that she wanted the fancier makeup and hair styling typically included in the princess packages. The makeover continued, but Lilia didn’t seem totally satisfied with the beautiful look and told her mother, “I think I really want to be a Prince instead.”

Lilia underwent an instant change, declaring she was “in love” with the prince outfit and how she looked in it. Additionally, Jessica noted that her reversal didn’t exactly surprise her, as her daughter has always been emphatically herself and proud of “who she is,” and seeing Lilia fight to be her authentic self meant the world to her.
The proud mom shared a TikTok video of the experience and her daughter’s realization on their family’s page, which quickly went viral. In fact, viewers everywhere noted a change in Lilia’s demeanor the minute she got the Prince costume on, instantly much more comfortable and confident in herself.

Moreover, many rejoiced to see Jessica’s complete acceptance, speaking about how much it would have meant to them to feel so accepted by their parents or able to explore their identity and physical presentation with such ease. Said Skube, “She realized who she really wanted to be.”
Although adults are not able to receive complete Disney makeovers from the Bibbidi Boppidi Boutique experience aboard Disney Cruise Line ships or at Disney Parks such as Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Guests of all ages can ask Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices for a pixie dusting from her magic wand!
