At Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, anything is possible. The Parks are known as a place where wonder and magic can be found around every corner, and it is expected to see things that are truly unbelievable. It is Disney’s talent for creating magic that keeps fans coming back to the Parks time and time again.
For many fans, the quintessential Disney moment happens at the end of every evening with Disney’s fabulous nighttime spectaculars. There is something about seeing the fireworks and projections on Cinderella Castle or Sleeping Beauty Castle that is truly unforgettable. To top it all off, seeing Tinkerbell or Baymax fly at the end of the night is enough to feel like a child again.
However, sometimes things at Disney don’t always end so magically after all, like in the case of one recent performance.
Halloween Show Misses Its Big Finish
Halloween Screams is one of the most anticipated offerings of the year at the Disneyland Resort. People from all over the world gather here to experience the magic and spookiness of the Halloween season with this incredible show. With a plethora of activities and attractions, Disneyland truly transforms into a haunted wonderland during this time, and Halloween Screams is no exception.
From the end of summer until early November, both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park undergo a stunning transformation, with a plethora of Halloween-themed decorations adorning every corner. The Sleeping Beauty Castle, in particular, takes on an ethereal appearance as it is turned into the mesmerizing Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park. It also serves as the backdrop for Halloween Screams.
Epic Halloween Show… Gone WRONG!
Halloween Screams is hosted by Jack Skellington, the loveable character from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. His narration leads Guests through a fantastical and magical journey through some of Disney’s most haunting and delightfully spooky stories. From Maleficent to Ursula the Sea Witch, this show has it all.
During the finale of this show, Jack Skellington’s adorable ghostly dog, Zero, can be seen flying through the air around Sleeping Beauty Castle. Unfortunately, that flight was more like a flop at a recent performance.
Guests gathering to see the show were left puzzled and dissatisfied after Zero got stuck mid-air during the show’s finale. Some fans even captured videos of the incident and shared it online.
@sometimescastles Zero Gets Stuck During Halloween Screams at Disneyland 😱🏰 During Halloween Time at Disneyland in California, the fireworks show is Halloween Screams. Fireworks happen Friday through Sunday weather permitting. On days they don’t do fireworks, projections still happen. Zero, the ghost dog reindeer, from Nightmare Before Christmas flies through the sky during this show… but on Sunday, September 17 things were not working as intended. #disneyland #disneyhalloween #disneylandhalloween #disneyparks #halloweenscreams
It is pretty unfortunate to see Zero break in this way. It seems that his malfunction was a big issue due to the fact that the show ended abruptly with no play-off.
While some audience members might have felt let down, mistakes and errors like this happen all the time at Disney Parks. It is so difficult to have everything go smoothy, and the fact that Disney is able to do so, most of the time, is an accomplishment in itself.
Less money to flop movies and more money to maintaining the parks would be a start.
