Walt Disney World’s annual Food & Wine Festival at its EPCOT theme park is one of the biggest and most Guest adored events of the year. It is known for its wide variety of international cuisine and beverages spread out over numerous food booths or “Global Marketplaces” around the park. However, Disney World fans of the grand tasting event were saddened to hear about the removal of two very specific and anticipated types of Bacon.
Kevin and Michael Bacon have canceled their August 13 and 14 performance engagement at the EPCOT festival’s Eat to the Beat concert series.
The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is a popular component of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. The America Gardens Theatre in the World Showcase section of EPCOT hosts live evening musical performances by a handful of well-known artists from various genres – pop, rock, R&B, and more! While the Bacon Brothers band was specifically announced in May as a part of the 2023 Eat to the Beat Concert Series lineup, Disney quietly removed them from the schedule today.
Formed by actor Kevin Bacon and his composer, musician, and songwriter brother, Michael, the Bacon Brothers play a blend of musical genres, including rock, folk, and Americana. They have released several albums over the years, featuring original songs written and performed by both of them. The brothers are going on tour at the end of August.
The exact reason for their removal is not clear yet. Some highlights of the current Eat to the Beat lineup for EPCOT’s 2023 Food & Wine Festival include Ruben Studdard with Haley Reinhart, Phillip Phillps, 98 °, Boyz II Men, Sugar Ray, Hoobastank, Billy Ocean, We The Kings, and more!
Disney World’s 2023 Food & Wine Festival takes place from July 27 to November 18 and offers a “culinary exploration across 6 continents.” The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is presented by Florida Blue Medicare and will occur at EPCOT’s American Adventure Pavilion with nightly showings at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:00 PM.
