Back in 2003, a brand-new show about a teenage psychic aired on The Disney Channel — That’s So Raven. The show starred Raven-SymonĂ© as Raven, a teenage girl struggling to deal with her psychic abilities while dealing with everyday teen struggles. Thankfully, Raven always had her two best friends by her side — Eddie and Chelsea. Eddie was played by Orlando Brown and Chelsea was played by Anneliese van der Pol.

That’s So Raven ended in 2007, but ten years later, Raven was back and Chelsea was by her side in the new series, Raven’s Home. In Raven’s Home, Chelsea and Raven both find themselves in the position of being divorced single moms, trying to reclaim their lives. Chelsea and her son, Levi, move in with Raven as Chelsea rights to reclaim her fortune from her ex-husband, Garrett, who stole it all. Garrett was played by actor Johnno Wilson.

Despite being divorced adversaries on-screen, van der Pol’s and Wilson’s relationship was much happier. The two met on the series and began dating in 2018. Now, after five years together, they can officially call each other fiancĂ©s!
On December 23, Wilson shared an Instagram post, thanking Disney for introducing him to his new fiancé. He also shared photos of his proposal with a shocked and excited Anneliese.

So many of van der Pol’s friends and costars shared their excitement for the starlet’s engagement, including Susan Egan, the voice of Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. Egan and van der Pol delighted Disney fans when they performed together on stage at the 2022 D23 Expo. The two ladies performed with other Broadway stars who had played Disney princesses.

Fellow Disney Channel star, Christie Carlson Romano — who starred in the hit show Even Stevens — posted a picture of van der Pol and her fiancĂ©. She congratulated them and encouraged other women to find a partner who loves them as much as Wilson loves van der Pol.

Raven’s Home was not the only time that van der Pol and Wilson have appeared together on-screen. Van der Pol also appeared on Wilson’s comedy show, Johnno and Michael Try, back in 2019.
