Helicopter Rescue for Jungle Cruise Animal

Usually, the only thing flying above Disneyland Resort is Tinker Bell and Baymax. Seeing a helicopter hovering so close to the Park was enough to cause quite a commotion yesterday, July 25.

According to Cast Members, the airlift took place at Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise attraction. The Jungle Cruise, one of the oldest and most beloved attractions at Disneyland Park, has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of visitors over the years. This iconic ride’s ‘Skippers’ take Guests on a hilarious Jungle Cruise boat journey through exotic jungles and rivers, offering a taste of adventure and excitement that only Disney can deliver.

Walt Disney had always been fascinated by adventure and exploration. He wanted to bring this spirit of adventure to the theme Park, and so the idea for the Jungle Cruise was born. The ride was an opening day attraction at Disneyland Park in 1955, and it quickly became a fan favorite.

Those Pesky Elephants!

If you have ever had the pleasure of riding the Jungle Cruise, you will know that the Disney Park ride features numerous animatronic animals. Many of these animatronics are pretty large and historic. Due to their size, the only way that repairs can be done on some of them is by airlifting them out of the attraction.

Yesterday, an Elephant from the ride was malfunctioning, resulting in it needing to be airlifted from the attraction.
