This Disney Park Is the BEST Place to Celebrate This Unique Upcoming Holiday!

Walt Disney World Resort is known for taking our favorite holidays and turning them into celebrations and special events that can last months. We’re talking, of course, about Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

However, a more obscure holiday is rapidly approaching, and this Disney Park is the perfect place to celebrate!

World Giraffe Day is so obscure that Walt Disney World may not do anything to acknowledge it, even in Animal Kingdom. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take the opportunity to celebrate!

World Giraffe Day was first established by the G.C.F. (the Giraffe Conservation Foundation), and it’s a way to acknowledge and celebrate our planet’s tallest animal!

If you’re visiting Animal Kingdom on June 21, then you’ll be in the right place at the right time to celebrate World Giraffe Day.

One of the best ways to commemorate the day is to take a ride on the Disney Park’s signature attraction: Kilimanjaro Safaris. Out of all of the Animal Kingdom rides, Kilimanjaro Safaris is the one that gets Guests up close and personal with real live animals, including friendly giraffes.

Another great way to celebrate the holiday is to catch a viewing of the Festival of the Lion King, also located in Animal Kingdom’s Africa section.

The Festival of the Lion King is a short show with live performances of our favorite songs from the first Lion King (1994) movie. The show includes fantastic costumes, acrobatics, and even some awesome animatronics-including a huge giraffe!
