Disney World Increases Lightning Lane Premier Pass by $30 This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving week has long been one of the toughest times to tour Walt Disney World, and in 2026 it may also be the most expensive time to skip the line. Lightning Lane prices are rising across all four parks for the holiday, led by a record $479 Premier Pass at Magic Kingdom.

That price applies on two days: Monday, November 23, and Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26. For a family of four, that works out to $1,916 for one day of Premier Pass access at one park.

Why the Holiday Week Costs More

Several seasonal draws overlap this month. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is taking place at Magic Kingdom, Disney Jollywood Nights is running at Hollywood Studios, and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays debuts later in November. Layer in Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation traffic, and standby lines get long enough that plenty of guests reach for Lightning Lane no matter the price.

Lightning Lane isn’t required, but these prices put it out of reach for many visitors, and those relying on standby can expect soaring waits. Between cost and crowds, thousands of guests may leave without riding everything on their list.

Choosing Your Day at Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom’s Premier Pass previously topped out at $449, a level Disney generally kept for Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. The new peak is $30 higher and $180 above the $299 starting price introduced earlier in 2026.

Friday, November 27, is the best value of the week at $429. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday are each $449, while Monday and Thanksgiving Day carry the full $479.

Timing Matters at the Other Three Parks

Outside Magic Kingdom, Thanksgiving Day is the better pick. On Monday, November 23, Premier Pass costs $269 at EPCOT, $219 at Animal Kingdom, and $369 at Hollywood Studios, all equal to their highest prices yet. By Thanksgiving, those drop to $229, $179, and $339.

Multi Pass dips on the holiday too. EPCOT goes from $35 early in the week to $28 on Thanksgiving, Animal Kingdom from $29 to $25, and Hollywood Studios from $39 Monday through Wednesday to $37 on Thursday. Magic Kingdom’s Multi Pass peaks at a record $45 on Monday and is $42 on Thanksgiving.

Budgeting for Single Pass Rides

Single Pass operates apart from Multi Pass, selling access to marquee attractions outside the Multi Pass lineup. On November 1, 2026, Disney raised Single Pass ceilings at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Avatar Flight of Passage, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, with Cosmic Rewind and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train climbing most, at $3 each on the high end. Pricing depends on date and demand, so the top price doesn’t apply daily.

The resort’s highest Single Pass price is now $25, shared by Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. During the holiday week, Rise of the Resistance is $25 every day, TRON Lightcycle / Run is $25 on November 23 and Thanksgiving, and Cosmic Rewind is $25 on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, falling to $23 on the holiday. Avatar Flight of Passage holds at a record $20 all week, while Seven Dwarfs Mine Train begins at $18 and settles at $16.

Prices change by date, so check the My Disney Experience app for your exact travel days. Disney’s fiscal fourth quarter and full-year earnings arrive November 17 and may reveal how much more guests are spending in the parks.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his… More »
