Disney World Issues Reminder: Major Magic Kingdom Changes Begin November 10

Walt Disney World guests heading to Magic Kingdom next week should pay close attention to the entertainment schedule, as several popular experiences will operate differently than usual.

Disney has confirmed temporary adjustments affecting multiple performances, including daytime parades, castle shows, and Main Street entertainment.

Some experiences will have fewer showtimes, while others will disappear from the schedule entirely.

Fortunately, the changes aren’t permanent. However, guests visiting on November 10 and 11 should know what to expect before arriving.

Magic Kingdom Prepares for Two Days of Changes

On Tuesday, November 10, and Wednesday, November 11, Magic Kingdom will host filming for ABC’s annual holiday television specials.

The production will require Disney to adjust several entertainment offerings throughout the park.

One of the biggest changes involves the Festival of Fantasy Parade, which will not perform on either date.

Instead, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will take its place at 2 p.m. on both days.

Normally, guests must purchase admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to experience the holiday procession this early in the season.

However, visitors attending Magic Kingdom during the filming will have an opportunity to watch the Christmas parade during regular park hours.

While that’s certainly a welcome surprise, several other entertainment offerings will be more difficult to experience.

Several Popular Shows Will Have Limited Availability

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will operate with fewer performances during the filming.

On November 10, the Cinderella Castle stage show will take place only at 9:15 a.m. and noon.

The following day, Disney has scheduled four performances at 10:10 a.m., 11:35 a.m., 12:45 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Dapper Dans will have no scheduled appearances on November 10.

The popular Main Street quartet is expected to return November 11 with six performances throughout the day.

The Casey’s Corner Pianist will also face restrictions, with just three performances scheduled for November 10 and six for November 11.

Additionally, Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will not perform on November 10, although its regular 11:05 a.m. appearance remains scheduled for November 11.

For families who enjoy watching Disney’s live entertainment between attractions, these adjustments could require some changes to their plans.

Nighttime Entertainment Will Continue

Despite the daytime restrictions, Magic Kingdom’s evening entertainment is currently expected to remain unchanged.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will perform at 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. on both dates.

Happily Ever After fireworks are scheduled for 8 p.m., while Frozen Holiday Surprise will take place at 6:15 p.m.

The filming will contribute to ABC’s upcoming holiday broadcasts, including The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular on November 30 and the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Parade on December 25.

Guests planning to visit Magic Kingdom on either filming date should check the My Disney Experience app for updated schedules.

Although the changes are temporary, arriving without reviewing the entertainment lineup could mean missing a favorite show.

For some visitors, however, the chance to experience a special Christmas parade during regular park hours might make the unusual schedule worthwhile.
