Walt Disney World is getting ready for another busy Christmas season, and guests will soon have another reason to visit the resort without purchasing an expensive theme park ticket.
While Disney’s holiday celebrations often come with additional costs, some seasonal experiences remain completely free.

One popular tradition is returning this November, bringing familiar Disney characters, festive decorations, and several new surprises.
And this year, families can expect a few changes to the experience.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll Returns November 11
Disney has confirmed that the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will return on November 11, 2026, and continue through January 3, 2027.
Presented by AdventHealth, the annual experience invites guests to explore Disney Springs while searching for Christmas trees decorated around popular characters and entertainment franchises.

Unlike separately ticketed holiday events at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Christmas Tree Stroll doesn’t require additional admission.
Guests can participate without purchasing a theme park ticket or making a reservation.
For 2026, Disney is introducing three new themed Christmas trees inspired by Bluey, Monsters, Inc. (2001), and Hallmark.

These additions join an already extensive lineup of holiday displays celebrating Disney’s most recognizable characters and movies.
Returning themes include Frozen (2013), Encanto (2021), The Lion King (1994), Moana (2016), Toy Story (1995), and The Princess and the Frog (2009).
Other trees celebrate Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Disney Villains, Star Wars, Fantasia (1940), Lilo & Stitch(2002), and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).
Disney will also feature an Annual Passholder Christmas Tree and Disney Cruise Line Topiary.
Three larger displays, including the Marketplace, Town Center, and Sphere Christmas Trees, will provide additional opportunities for holiday photographs.
Disney Confirms Free Holiday Activity With a Surprise
The Christmas Tree Stroll isn’t simply about admiring decorations.
Guests can turn their visit into an interactive scavenger hunt by picking up a complimentary map at participating Disney Springs locations.
Maps will be available at brochure racks and businesses including The LEGO Store, The Polite Pig, Havaianas, City Works Eatery & Pour House, Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers, and the Hallmark Holiday Pop-Up Shop.

After collecting their maps, visitors can search for decorated trees throughout Disney Springs and match the corresponding stickers to their locations.
Once completed, guests can return their maps to a participating location to receive a surprise.
Disney hasn’t revealed exactly what participants will receive this year.
The activity provides an affordable alternative for families who want to enjoy Disney’s Christmas atmosphere without purchasing tickets to premium holiday events.
With new trees joining the lineup and the festivities continuing into January, returning visitors will have another opportunity to experience one of Disney Springs’ most recognizable holiday traditions.
